FOCUS ON GOD
Text: Colossians 3:1-3
God is admonishing us today to put our focus on God and not on our environment
The youth and people have put their focus on philosophy of men, and their focus on philosophy of men will come a crash.
*seek those things that are above.
Where you put your focus will determine where you will be in life.
- I will keep on looking on God
*put attention, concentrate on God, let god be at the counter focusing on God will determine your reaching the end of your journey.
2 Kings 2:9 - Glory carrier, exodus 34
- I will be his glory carrier
- On Christ alone, I focus.
Benefits on focusing on God
1 His glory will be revealed on you
2 God will change your biological makeup, he will give you an extra strength.
Deuteronomy 34:7
Note that focusing on the almighty God strengthens you .
This our generation is an evil one, they want to remove god from everything they do
father, as I focus on you, renew my strength.
3 focusing on God gives you an unusual victory.
Everyone who refuse to focus on God is a loser.
1st Samuel 17:36-end
David, a 17-years old boy, defeated Goliath because he focused on god, while Goliath focused in his army tools.
You can’t defeat i confront the witches of this city by your own power
stop running around, stay with God.
- When you focus on god, your words will become decreed.
Elisha had the double portion of Elijah because he focused on god. The power of whoever or whatever you focus on comes upon you
God is saying to you
let your attention be on him, focus on him alone
read Daniel 6.
God will make a way of escape for you when you focus on Him alone.
Don’t put your focus on money.
Prayer points:
- Father forgive me for the sin of shifting away my focus from you
2. Father, the grace to focus on you alone, the grace to trust and love in you,grant unto me
3. Father, by your power, every seed of the love of the world, uproot it from my life in the name of Jesus.
